Crystal chandeliers are certainly one of the best options to add a touch of magnificence in your house. Generally, they are made of cut glass and they reflect the light to create a majestic ambience in the room. In fact, for over 3 centuries, the crystal chandeliers have been the most efficient means to illuminate the gorgeous and expensive places. Therefore, if you want to make your house and center of attraction for your neighbors, the crystal chandeliers are the best option to consider. However, there is one major concern - cleaning the crystal chandeliers may seem to be a difficult task.

Well, the task is a bit critical. However, that does not mean that cleaning the chandeliers is extremely complicated. All you need in this regard are patience, time and caution. So, if you want to clean your crystal chandeliers, here is how you can do it.

There are basically two different ways in which you can clean the crystal chandeliers. The first one is the non-dismantle method. Here, you clean the entire chandelier as a whole. However, before going for it, you have to ensure that you have other lighting options ready as you won't be able to use the chandelier for a while. Now, switch off the chandelier and place a tape on it so that nobody can turn it on accidentally. Also, you should cover up the bulbs if they point outwards. Finally, lay a big plastic sheet or drop cloth on the floor below the chandelier.

Now, you have to create a solution of isopropyl alcohol or ammonia with thrice the amount of distilled water. However, if you want to avoid the risk of dealing with the chemicals, you can always buy the readymade chemicals available in the market. However, make sure that you are purchasing chemicals especially made to clean the chandeliers. Now, you have to pour the solution in the spray bottle and spread it on every part of the fixture.

However, you should carefully avoid the wires as well as other electrical components. After that, let it dry and lift the plastic covers from the bulbs. Dip a soft cloth in the cleanser and wipe the well and other lighting part. Keep them as they are for the entire night to dry before using the chandelier on the next day.

In the dismantle method, you have to dismantle all the components of the crystal chandelier and clean every single part of them. As you can see, this is a rather thorough method and you need more patience and time for it. Make sure that you are using mild soaps while cleaning the different parts of the crystal chandelier.
